Your tasks

• Empowerment and further development of the department and its employees as specialists in a topic area within software development and/or independent and holistic implementation and management of a work package consisting of one or more software architecture elements, taking into account standards as well as process and quality requirements.
• Enabling and developing the department in a specialized subject area
• Proactive development and assurance of expertise in close coordination with management to provide the necessary skills and further develop employees.
• Responsibility for all necessary activities within software development and software architecture, taking into account quality, costs, and deadlines, as well as evaluation, delegation, and control of all necessary activities within the framework of work packages in terms of quality, costs, and deadlines (QCT).
• Consulting and support for sales, product/project management, and customers (internal and external) in the context of software development.
• Reducing complexity through further decompositions, creating and initiating implementation concepts and software designs, and connecting individual software development artifacts based on a software architecture.
• Optimizing internal business processes through the use of AI
• Identification, evaluation and implementation of specific AI use cases as well as integration of suitable AI frameworks into productive use
• Evaluation and further development of selected algorithms with regard to quality and robustness
• Analysis of existing AI methods and technologies, as well as selection of suitable models, architectures, and tools

Your profile

• Completed technical studies with computer science components (e.g., computer science, data science, electrical engineering, or similar)
• Several years of experience in front-end and back-end development using modern frameworks
• Practical experience in the development and integration of LLM-based applications
• Ideally, knowledge of RAG and agent systems.
• Experience in the development of common AI frameworks and their application context
• Skills in managing work packages in QKT and professional leadership experience (min. 2 years) OR extensive knowledge in the relevant area of expertise and the ability to support the organizational unit manager in developing and maintaining these skills and to guide the employees.
• Continuous technology monitoring in the field of artificial intelligence
• High level of teamwork and communication skills
• Experience in agile environments
