Lead Buyer (m/f/d) - IT Category

Overview

As Lead Buyer for the IT category, you develop and execute the IT sourcing strategy to maximize value while managing risk. You work with cross-functional stakeholders across Europe to standardize procurement, lead end-to-end sourcing (RFX), and negotiate optimal contracts. You balance cost, quality, and time to drive sustainable improvements and supplier performance. This role combines strategic category leadership with hands-on negotiation and risk management to support Daiichi Sankyo’s mission of improving lives.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Develop and execute the IT category strategy in alignment with stakeholders
• Lead end-to-end sourcing processes (RFX) from specifications to contract finalization
• Negotiate favorable commercial and contractual terms leveraging market know-how
• Manage vendor relationships, monitor performance, and resolve gaps
• Establish contingency plans to mitigate supplier risks
• Oversee category management tasks including supplier qualification, due diligence, and risk mitigation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize and harmonize Procurement operations
• Drive savings, KPI attainment, and customer satisfaction through procurement excellence

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Master in Procurement or related field
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience
• Strong negotiation skills with contractual/legal knowledge
• Proactive and detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure
• Fluent in English; another European language is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office, SAP MM, eSourcing and Procurement Suites
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
