IT Security Analyst

Insurance records hold personal data, and every German project we take on comes with security checks that have to be run and documented under the GDPR. Northline Assembly is hiring an IT Security Analyst in Germany to carry them out. It is a full-time position, remote from anywhere in Germany, with colleagues in Nashville seven hours behind.

Your part in it

• Review access rights to our applications and remove the ones nobody needs any more
• Run vulnerability scans and follow each finding until it is fixed
• Check logs and alerts for unusual sign-ins and data exports
• Prepare evidence for client security questionnaires and audits
• Keep security policies and the asset inventory up to date

Required

• A degree in computer science, IT security or a related field, or completed IT training
• Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls) and Windows or Linux administration basics
• Knowledge of common attacks such as phishing, credential theft and SQL injection
• At least one hands-on security project, lab or course

Counts in your favor

• CompTIA Security+ or a similar certification
• A SIEM such as Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk
• ISO 27001
