About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor to join a specialist team handling complex and high-value claimant work.
This role would suit a solicitor with approximately 3–6 years’ post-qualification experience who has developed a strong background in serious personal injury litigation and is looking to take on a challenging caseload involving significant injuries and multi-track claims.
You will have the opportunity to manage cases from an early stage through to resolution, work closely with clients and experts, and contribute to the development of a growing specialist practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of complex personal injury claims, predominantly involving multi-track litigation.
  • Provide clear, compassionate and commercially aware legal advice to clients throughout the life of their claims.
  • Take responsibility for progressing matters effectively and ensuring key procedural and case-management deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and review pleadings, witness evidence, expert evidence, schedules of loss and other litigation documentation.
  • Liaise with medical, rehabilitation, financial and other specialist experts where appropriate.
  • Develop effective case strategies and work towards achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct negotiations with defendants, insurers and their legal representatives.
  • Prepare cases for hearings, conferences, settlement negotiations and trial where required.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage matters in accordance with relevant professional, regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider development of the team.
  • Assist with the supervision and development of junior lawyers and support staff.
  • Contribute to business development and professional networking activities where appropriate.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • 3–6 years’ post-qualification experience in claimant personal injury litigation.
  • Demonstrable experience handling serious or high-value personal injury claims.
  • Experience of multi-track litigation and complex procedural matters.
  • A strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant pre-action protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong legal research, analytical and organisational abilities.
  • The confidence to manage a caseload with a high degree of autonomy.
  • A client-focused approach, particularly when dealing with individuals who may have suffered life-changing injuries.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • An ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of individual matters.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues would be advantageous.
  • An interest in contributing to the growth and profile of a specialist legal practice.

What the Role Offers

  • The opportunity to work on substantial and legally challenging personal injury matters.
  • A flexible approach to working arrangements.
  • Support for ongoing professional and career development.
  • Opportunities to develop leadership, supervision and management skills.
  • A collaborative working environment with experienced legal professionals.
  • A structured approach to career progression.
  • Access to professional training and development opportunities.
  • A role where the quality and impact of client outcomes are central to the work.
