Technical Lead - eCommerce (M/F/D)

What this role is about

One of our E-Commerce Crews develops digital solutions that create a seamless and high-performing shopping experience for our customers. As Technical Lead, you are the technical voice within the crew and work closely with the Crew Business and Product Owners.

Your core expertise is in Frontend Engineering. At the same time, you bring a broad software engineering understanding that enables you to assess technical dependencies beyond the frontend. Full-stack experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

Your day-to-day work

• You own the technical direction and frontend architecture of our e-commerce solutions
• Together with the Crew Business Owner and Crew Product Owner, you translate business and product requirements into sustainable technical solutions
• You make architecture decisions and define technical guardrails for scalability, performance, security and maintainability
• You keep the bigger technical picture in mind and assess dependencies across APIs, backend services, cloud and platforms
• You drive engineering excellence through modern development practices, automated testing, CI/CD and high quality standards
• You support engineers through technical sparring, mentoring and knowledge sharing

This role is a great fit for you if...

• have several years of software engineering experience and have already taken technical responsibility as a Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead or in a comparable role
• have a strong background in Frontend Engineering and can assess and evolve frontend architectures
• have a solid understanding of how frontend, APIs, backend services and cloud technologies work together
• have experience in technical leadership and can make architecture decisions, communicate them clearly and drive them forward together with engineers
• enjoy working at the intersection of business, product and technology
• have experience with e-commerce, retail or comparable transactional digital products, which is considered a plus
• bring additional full-stack experience, although this is not a requirement for the role
