DevOps Engineer

The applications and integrations we build for German clients need somewhere reliable to run, and the pipelines that ship them have to keep working after we hand them over.

We're hiring a DevOps Engineer in Germany to look after that. Full-time, from home anywhere in Germany; the team in Chicago is seven hours behind.

Five things you'll do

1. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for client integrations and our internal tools
2. Set up and update cloud environments on Azure or AWS with infrastructure as code
3. Monitor running services and handle alerts together with the project team
4. Automate backups, certificate renewals and routine maintenance
5. Write runbooks so client IT teams can operate what we hand over

Four things we need

1. A degree in computer science or similar, or training as Fachinformatiker Systemintegration
2. First experience with Linux and shell scripting (internships count)
3. Git and a CI tool such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
4. Docker basics

Also helps: Terraform or Bicep; Kubernetes; Python.
