We currently have an opportunity for a full-time accountant within our finance, accounting, and controlling

team.

As an Accountant, you will join a dynamic and international team based at our Düsseldorf office. Your main

duties will include general accounting activities such as bookkeeping for separate legal entities (nationally and internationally), monthly / quarterly closing, preparing consolidated financial statements according to IFRS and HGB, conducting accounting-related analyses and reconciliations, and supporting the coordination of financial audits. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams to address accounting-related inquiries related to

accounts receivable and payable, oversee, optimize, and enhance internal accounting processes.

You've got

• Experience with  SAP accounting system, Tagetik and good knowledge in relevant IT applications - MS Excel
• 3-5 years experience within similar role and ideally within retail / eCommerce sector
• The degree / relevant qualification in accounting is essential
• Experience in accounts receivable (e.g. revenue and expense accounting, payment methods management)
• Knowledge of IFRS and HGB (or other GAAPs)
• Knowledge of fixed assets accounting and IFRS 16
• Proactive, self-motivated and detail oriented
• Ownership and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Fluent in English, German would be a plus.

Ab sofort ist eine unbefristete Vollzeitstelle als "Accountant" in unserem Team für Finanzen, Rechnungswesen & Controlling  bei der Metro Markets GmbH zu besetzen. Als "Accountant" sind Sie Teil eines dynamischen und internationalen Teams, das in unserem Düsseldorfer Büro angesiedelt ist (aber natürlich arbeiten wir im Moment hauptsächlich vom Home Office aus). In dieser Rolle bist du hauptsächlich für folgende Aufgaben verantwortlich :  allgemeine Buchhaltungstätigkeiten , wie z.B. : Buchhaltung für einzelne juristische Einheiten (national und international);  Monats- / Vierteljahresabschlüsse ; Erstellung von Konzernabschlüssen nach IFRS und HGB;  buchhaltungsrelevante Analyse n und Abstimmungen; sowie Unterstützung bei der Koordination von Abschlussprüfungen. Darüber hinaus arbeitest du mit verschiedenen Teams zusammen, um buchhalterische Fragen zur  Debitoren- und Kreditorenbuchhaltung zu klären. Du verwaltest und optimierst aktuelle sowie die Entwicklung neuer Buchhaltungsprozesse intern mit verschiedenen Teams und unseren verschiedenen ERP- und ist eine großartige Karrierechance für einen talentierten Accountant, der gerne in einem schnelllebigen und internationalen Umfeld arbeitet, in dem er unsere Buchhaltungslandschaft (auch im Hinblick auf die Internationalisierung) mit aufbauen und gestalten kann.
