Essity is looking for a Public Affairs Manager with a primary focus on its wound care business. The role will operate under the direct supervision of the Senior Business Director of the Business Unit Health and Medical, Germany.
Within this role, you will work in strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders with the aim of having a stable and positive policy environment for Essity’s wound care business in Germany.
The scope of this job includes monitoring external developments, assessing them, highlighting relevant trends, risks and opportunities and their impact on the management team, but also leading the internal strategic positioning and planning, as well as the execution of the agreed plans.
Your Role
Proactively advise the local management team on trends, risks and opportunities driven by policy changes relating to wound care
Translate business objectives to short, mid and long-term policy objectives and activities
Lead the development of Essity Health & Medical positions in relevant wound care topics as well as arrange for substantiating facts and arguments
Develop a stakeholder engagement plan with clear and measurable KPIs
Proactively engage in dialogues with key stakeholders to seek win-win solutions (incl. participation at 3rd party conferences)
Maintain and expand a high-level network within the medical device industry, government authorities, healthcare providers, health economic organizations, patient representatives, and other relevant decision-making representatives

High ethical standards
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the medical device or health care industry with at least 5 years in Public Affairs, Governmental Affairs or the Health Policy area
Solid and detailed understanding of the German medical device market and policy frameworks, decision-making processes and stakeholders (wound care knowledge / experience is preferred)
Established and active network with government institutions, payers, policy-makers, KOLs and influencers in the healthcare and medical device arena
Fluent in German and English (written and verbal)
