Your Role & Tasks
As our Global HR Manager (m / f / d) , you will be part of YSB's mission to harness the power of business to end poverty and the climate crisis. You will have the opportunity to manage the entire span of our employees at YSB worldwide, from employee attraction to exit and alumni group management. You will work closely with our global management on our people strategy and frequently coordinate with our local leadership team to support their staff in all HR-related topics. You will be part of the Services team, which is based at the HQ in Berlin, and report directly to the CFO.
Key tasks of the role :
- Working together with the CFO and management team, co-create individual and group solutions to build capacity within our teams
- Co-create alternative approaches to motivate, incentivize and retain our team members
- Design organizational structures and career pathways that foster alignment among team members and engender excitement about and commitment to longer-term careers at YSB
- Continuously improve our global people strategy for both business units (Funds & Corporate) and all YSB entities; an exciting journey that never ends
- Improve and administer key HR processes
- Manage the recruiting process for all our local teams worldwide, incl. job advertisement, scheduling & interviewing candidates, recruiting pipeline management, preparing role profiles and contracts, managing the on-and offboarding
- Maintain and improve the OKR / performance management system, incorporating both conventional and impact metrics
- Improve and own the processes for personal development and training
- Lead the feedback procedures and our annual employee engagement surveys, coordinate the respective follow-ups, such as action plans for improvement
- Ensure compliance as an Employer with statutory labour law regulations in Germany and labour law compliance in our local entities, backed by our external legal support
- Prepare and administer the monthly payroll (together with our tax advisor) and oversee and facilitate the completion / completeness of official personnel-related documents for German YSB entities (visa, insurance, tax, sick leave, etc.)
- Keep our values alive and at the forefront of our daily interactions
- Being the go-to person and confidant for all our (future) employees or consultants in HR matters, acting as the neutral party between staff and supervisors
- Design our EVP and our employer branding for our website and external platforms (i.e. Linkedin, Glassdoor) to attract amazing, committed talent and ensure an interested pool of candidates waiting to knock at our door!
What you bring to the table
You have a rock-solid track record of leading and driving all aspects of people development and HR administration (must), ideally in an impact-driven environment and / or start-up cultureYou know the 101 of German Labour Law from an employer's perspective and stay up-to-date with new developments (must)You manage and communicate empathetically and diplomatically; you are an incredible listener and you see and respect the person behind the role while you keep business goals in mind (must)You speak and write English and German fluently (must); proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is a plusYou are IT savvy (must) and don’t shy away from administering our HR software (Kenjo); previous experience with HR software preferredYou stay organised and on top of important deadlinesYou have an eye for detail and can find the ‘needle in the haystack’You’ve administered payroll before and know your way around DATEVYou’re based in the Berlin area (must) or are willing to relocate, ideally from within EuropeOther important traits
