I am currently recruiting a junior civil structural engineer for one of my clients, a medium sized engineering consultancy with offices in Dublin, Waterford and Galway. This role is for their Waterford office. This consultancy prides itself on providing excellent Civil and Structural Engineering services for clients in both the public and private sectors. This client’s portfolio includes large-scale residential, commercial and industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate engineer who is looking for a company to help them gain chartership with a clear career plan. You will gain well-rounded experience on a range of projects.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering from an Irish university.

1-3 years experience in a similar role

Masters degree would offer an advantage, but is not essential

Experience with Masterseries / Tekla structural designer would offer a distinct advantage

Organised approach to problem solving and a willingness to explore new opportunities.

Ideally have a driving licence.

Responsibilities :

Design of buildings, structures in steelwork and reinforced concrete, structural analysis and management of drawing production

Use of structural engineering design software

Communication with stakeholders, both internal teams and clients on a regular basis

Building internal and external relationships, good team player
