Solar Construction Manager
Amber Renewables is working with a leading developer and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor specializing in utility-scale ground-mounted solar projects.
They currently have a strong presence in the UK, Germany, Italy, Poland, and France, with a specialism in projects ranging from 10MW to 60MW.
With over 1.2 GW of installed solar capacity across Europe and an additional 1 GW in development, they are committed to driving the transition to renewable energy across Europe with goals of becoming an IPP by 2028!
As a Solar Construction Manager, you will oversee the construction of our solar parks across Germany focussing on the successful implementation of large-scale PV systems.
Key responsibilities include :
- Managing the construction process, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Performing on-site quality checks of works and services, acting as the technical project manager and interface between the Engineering Team and Construction Partners.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for subcontractors and third parties, ensuring smooth coordination and communication throughout the construction process.
- Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international regulations, and overseeing the commissioning and handover of projects to the Operation & Services Team.
- Commencing weekly progress reports, inventory lists, and quality reports to track project milestones and ensure accountability.
The ideal candidate will have :
- Relevant work experience in managing Solar / renewable construction sites as an construction manager / Site Manager.
- Background as an electrician or similar knowledge in electrical systems.
- Fluent (or B2 Minimum) in German / English
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Strong assertiveness, communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset, coupled with a well-structured approach to work.
- Willingness to travel across the German region to sites / client locations.
