Senior IT Project Manager (Financial Services) – Remote within Germany

Location : Remote-first (within Germany)

Travel : Project-based (max. 3 days / week, no Mon–Fri travel)

Language Requirements : German (C1+), English (B2+)

Contract Type : Permanent, Full-time or Part-time (30–32h / week optional)

Salary : €60,000 – €120,000 gross / year + uncapped bonus (up to ~€200k possible)

Vacation : 30 days

Start Date : As soon as possible

Your Role

As a Senior IT Project Manager , you’ll :

Lead and deliver mid- to large-scale IT projects in the financial services sector (banking / insurance)

Interface between technical and business stakeholders

Manage client communication, project planning, and execution

Apply both classic and agile project management methodologies

Support business analysis, conceptual design, and presentations

Optionally contribute to client acquisition and offer structuring

Serve as a trusted advisor to the client throughout the project lifecycle

What You Bring

6+ years of project management experience in consulting

Deep understanding of financial services processes and systems

Expertise in classic / agile PM, moderation, and business analysis

Track record managing large-scale IT projects

Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills

A pragmatic mindset with the ability to simplify complexity

University degree (interdisciplinary fields welcome)

Comfortable with travel when needed and remote collaboration
