MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a Growing Toy company, on the search for Key Account Manager. This is a permanent role based in Baden-Württemberg.
As the Key Account Manager, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, including hypermarkets, supermarkets, and toy specialists.
Act as the main point of contact for all account-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to each account, with a focus on maximising revenue, market share, and profitability.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the toy sector, expanding the client’s presence in both existing and new retail channels.
- Lead contract negotiations, including pricing, promotions, and terms of trade, ensuring agreements are beneficial for both the client and the retail partner.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.
Provide insights and recommendations to the internal team.
- Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and reports. Track performance against targets and KPIs, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Coordinate with the marketing and product teams to ensure successful product launches and promotional activities within your accounts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, logistics, and finance, to ensure smooth execution of sales plans and customer satisfaction.
- Address any issues or concerns from retail partners promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnership success.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or key account management within the toy industry, with a proven track record of selling to hypermarkets, supermarkets, and toy specialists.
- Deep understanding of the toy industry, including market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and retail environments in Germany.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive sales growth and exceed targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
