Senior Business Development Associate
Our client is a world-leader in investment management. Due to continued company growth and success, they are now recruiting a Senior Business Development Associate (Wholesale) to join their team in Frankfurt on a permanent basis.
Working as part of a broader European Distribution team committed to building business in Europe, the Senior Business Development Associate (Wholesale) will take responsibility for the following duties :
- Generating and participating in client meetings and following-up effectively
- Making outbound calls to introduce the firm and secure meetings with prospects in the global financial institutions arena
- Representing the firm at industry conferences, networking during the event and following up afterwards
- Proactively managing and resolving internal issues relating to winning business, such as expediting fee discussions
- Bolstering the sales cycle by liaising with Investment Professionals and Financial Intermediary Business Development professionals
- Market research on target clients
- Exploration of new areas for business development
- Partnering with colleagues across EMEA Distribution in strategic business planning
- Work as part of a collegial team that shares ideas and best practices
The Senior Business Development Associate (Wholesale) will meet the following criteria :
- 6-10 years’ experience in a wholesale / intermediary focused role within investment management
- Experience in one of the following disciplines : sales or sales support, client service, relationship management, business development
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of seniority across multiple locations
- Demonstrable experience building new business (including cold calling and relationship building)
- Experience of presenting to prospects, advisors, clients or colleagues
- Comfortable discussing financial topics with prospects (such as asset class characteristics)
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- Related professional exams or studying towards CFA
