Our client is a world-leader in investment management. Due to continued company growth and success, they are now recruiting a Senior Business Development Associate (Wholesale) to join their team in Frankfurt on a permanent basis.

Working as part of a broader European Distribution team committed to building business in Europe, the Senior Business Development Associate (Wholesale) will take responsibility for the following duties :

  • Generating and participating in client meetings and following-up effectively
  • Making outbound calls to introduce the firm and secure meetings with prospects in the global financial institutions arena
  • Representing the firm at industry conferences, networking during the event and following up afterwards
  • Proactively managing and resolving internal issues relating to winning business, such as expediting fee discussions
  • Bolstering the sales cycle by liaising with Investment Professionals and Financial Intermediary Business Development professionals
  • Market research on target clients
  • Exploration of new areas for business development
  • Partnering with colleagues across EMEA Distribution in strategic business planning
  • Work as part of a collegial team that shares ideas and best practices

The Senior Business Development Associate (Wholesale) will meet the following criteria :

  • 6-10 years’ experience in a wholesale / intermediary focused role within investment management
  • Experience in one of the following disciplines : sales or sales support, client service, relationship management, business development
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of seniority across multiple locations
  • Demonstrable experience building new business (including cold calling and relationship building)
  • Experience of presenting to prospects, advisors, clients or colleagues
  • Comfortable discussing financial topics with prospects (such as asset class characteristics)
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Related professional exams or studying towards CFA
