Our client is a global industry leader in the design and manufacture of power conversion as well as networking solutions for the defense and aerospace markets and they work closely with the industry’s leading OEMs, integrators, and subsystem developers.
Their products include DC / DC converters, AC / DC inverters, solid state power distribution, generator control, VPX, and rugged battery backup solutions, switches, routers, USB hubs and media converters.
They are now seeking an energetic and experienced application engineer to support customers both at pre-sale stage and post-sale stage on the technical solutions that company offers.
As member of the international Inside Sales Team, you will be reporting to the European Sales Manager, working closely with outside sales, and Business units application engineers.
Job Description :
- Providing customers the right technical solution for their needs.
- Coordinating technical requirements with the different business units when a custom products is needed.
- Meeting with marketers, product developers, and executives to learn about new products and solutions.
- Using software to record sales,
- Travelling to make technical sales presentations to business clients
Skills & Requirements :
- Degree in electrical engineering is a must
- Technical knowledge with power & networking is a must
- Background in the defence or aerospace industries
- Previous knowledge of working with OEMs in the defence industry
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a multinational, multi-cultural environment
- Developed & demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
- Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred
- Flexible, adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, changing environment
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- People skills, eloquent and persistent
- Ability to understand complex technical problems and communicate to the customer
- Native speaker German with fluency in English (Technical, commercial and negotiations)
- Willingness to travel within his region / country (40-50% of the time)
