Senior Manager in Innovation and Venture Building

Tasks

As a Senior Manager, you will lead and manage large-scale projects, acting as Project Lead for various initiatives. You will ensure adherence to V_labs' quality standards, mentor junior team members, maintain proactive client communication, and continuously improve methodologies to drive successful Venture Building from initial exploration to growth phases.

• Project Leadership: Lead mid and large-sized projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery in line with quality standards. Act as part of the Operative Taskforce (Ops) in large projects.
• Client Management: Maintain strong communication with clients, manage expectations, and handle escalations. Act as the main contact for project status and results.
• Methodology & Deliverables: Lead workshops and apply venture-building methods to ensure high-quality project outputs. Develop and refine methodologies to meet client needs.
• Offer Writing: Lead the creation of project proposals and offers, developing innovative methodologies tailored to client requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to team members, address mistakes constructively, and improve project approaches.
• Talent Management: Participate in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new colleagues.
• Account Management: Manage small corporate accounts, including pricing, budget control, and stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• Strong project leadership experience and growth ambition is essential. Combined with strong organizational skills with the ability to lead large projects and guide cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to manage client relationships and expectations.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the innovation industry. Hands-on experience in venture building or innovation consulting is a plus.
• Proficiency in delivering high-quality outputs such as whitepapers, templates, and frameworks.
• Ability to mentor and inspire junior team members while fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
• Experience with offer writing, pricing, and corporate account management.
• Deep knowledge and experience with innovation methods (e.g., Design Thinking, Service Design, Prototyping, Lean Startup, etc.).
• A master degree in Innovation management, Economics, Business Administration or similar
• Excellent German and English language skills, knowledge of a third language is advantageous.
