About our client

Our client, a growth equity fund backed by a prominent investor family among others, aims to be the trusted partner for European tech founders enabling Europe to become the major global tech hub to the benefit of future generations. They have a sophisticated structure, strong governance and are very well established. With their heritage background the firm has access to great strategic resources and an outstanding geographic reach. They are looking to grow their team with a motivated and ambitious Associate or Investment Manager. What the job involves

  • Taking end-to-end responsibility of the investment cycle from target identification, sourcing, due diligence, transaction and portfolio management to divestments
  • Shaping investment theses, providing market intelligence, independently identifying and approaching investment opportunities through personal network as well as desktop research
  • Strong quantitative commercial and financial modelling skills
  • Actively taking part in the investment decision process and participating in board meetings

Who we are looking for

  • Prior professional tech M&A experience from an investment bank or corporate venture capital team
  • Strong academic record (Bachelor's or Master's degree) from a reputable business school
  • Demonstrable interest in digitalisation, investments and start-ups / scale ups
  • Knowledge about minority investing and deal structures
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Highly organised and structured with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Strong creative and conceptual skills - proven ability to generate deal ideas
  • Team player, ability to develop relationships - motivated, energetic, and driven
  • Outstanding communication skills to be able to engage with people of all levels
  • Career drive - someone ambitious who wants to make a career in VC / PE
  • Fluent in English and German, additional languages are a plus
