Job Description
Activity Leaders are responsible for delivering fun and engaging activities and excursions to a group of international students, following Alpadia’s approach to language immersion and experiential learning. In this role, you'll be responsible for running Creative Arts programs 3 afternoons / week. In general, you will be working closely with other Activity Leaders and Teachers, ensuring our students have a meaningful time in camp, full of learning and personal growth, while offering expert supervision and safety. Additionally, you’ll take an active role in the day-to-day operations of camp via attendance checks, helping out during wake-ups and bedtime, and leading camp-wide Evening Programs.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Experience working with children or young people in a professional capacity
- Demonstrated skills in the field of Art Education, or teaching art / creative workshops
- Some German proficiency (spoken B1-B2 minimum), ability to learn activity-specific vocabulary to ensure language immersion
- Fluency in English
- High physical, mental and emotional resilience
- Experience in meaningful, professional teamwork
- High energy level, excitement and comfort speaking in front of large groups
- Availability during staff training in Berlin (June 16-20), and at least 5 weeks of the summer.
