5V Tech is working with a trusted partner, a leading software company located in Munich. They are searching for an experienced and hands-on Lead / Senior   Engineer  to join their forward-thinking company as their new Head of Engineering .

Join a dynamic team on a mission to revolutionize a traditionally manual industry with a fully digital, cloud-based SaaS platform.You will be working alongside a talented, international team to scale the technology and the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and Scale the Team : Manage and grow a high-performing engineering team across multiple locations, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Drive Product Development : Ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Optimize Processes : Implement and refine development processes to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Champion Technology : Advocate for and evangelize the current tech stack, while bringing creative ideas for future architectures and tools.
  • Ensure Robustness : Oversee the security, scalability, and performance of the platform to support rapid growth.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals.

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical Expertise : Proven hands-on experience with modern cloud-based SaaS technologies, including :

    • Java / Spring Boot (essential)

  • AWS, Kubernetes, and Postgres
  • React for front-end development
  • DevOps practices using Terraform and Grafana
  • Leadership Experience : A track record of building, mentoring, and inspiring engineering teams.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset : Capable of stepping in during challenging situations and guiding the team through growth and technical complexity.
  • Communication Skills : Ability to clearly articulate technical vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic and Hands-On : Balances big-picture thinking with the ability to dive into technical details when needed.
