Digital Workflow Ontologies and Machine Learning for Epitaxial Processes

Epitaxial layers are the key functional parts in electronic and opto-electronic a BMFTR funded project digital twins will be developed for MOCVD processes and will be used for optimizing the process along the process chain up to the device including by means of machine learning. The industrial partner is AIXTRON one of the leading companies for MOCVD reactors.

The digital twin will be developed for the industry-established process of GaN layers and devices as well for Ga

an emerging material of high interest for high-power applications.

What we offer

The position is funded by the F ederal Ministry of Research Technology and Space (BMFTR) and is limited for one year starting 01.01.2026 prolongation is possible . Payment is according to TVöD Bund (E13) (Collective agreement for the public sector). The contract includes the usual social benefits (30 vacation days in a 5-day week flexible working hours).
