Our approach combines the embeddedness in a local startup ecosystem with an excellent international network in both industrial as well as startup ecosystems.

To complete and complement our team, we are looking for a Principal with perspective to become a partner.
Our investment focus
TriPath will invest in early-stage deep tech startups from (Southwest) Germany and neighbouring regions in Switzerland and France, as well as in Israel and the UK.
We will invest in founders in the fields of manufacturing, energy & infrastructure and healthcare and pharma production, focusing on technologies such as Industry 4.
0, Cybersecurity, AI, OT, HW-related tech, Materials, Embedded SW / HW, Sensors.
Our approach is long term and we plan to build several fund generations, starting hands-on with a micro fund concept.
Tasks
We are looking for a person with a deep background in venture capital, a strong passion for technology investments and startups, and an entrepreneurial mindset to build a top-class VC fund(s) from scratch .
You will be responsible for all aspects of the venture capital investment process, such as :
- organizing the deal sourcing, searching and analyzing interesting opportunities
- coordinating due diligence process with our partner and expert network
- executing investment, including conducting business due diligences (tech if applicable) and taking part in the negotiation of contractual terms
- managing our portfolio and supporting investees in scaling as (advisory) board member
- maintaining and expanding our network and contributing to our fundraising process towards corporations, family offices and funds of funds
Requirements
- You have successfully completed a degree in natural sciences / engineering, ideally supplemented by a doctorate or MBA or Master in Economics
- You have in-depth, relevant experience as a (deep) tech investor in startups at least on the level of a (senior) investment manager in VC / PE
- You have already gained experience in VC financing rounds and startup advisory boards
- Ideally, you have a proven exit track record
- Ideally, you have already successfully participated in fundraising processes
- You are committed to build the fund as a startup by itself
