Internship: Social Media Management

Join us as Intern in our Social Media & Community Marketing Team for Goodgame Empire! Duration: 4-6 months (full-time), option to continue as a Working Student after the internship Start: flexible Location: Hamburg or fully remote (Germany) Remuneration: 2420 € gross per month / 14 € gross per hour As an Intern in the Empire Family Social Media & Community Marketing Team , you will work hands-on on long-running, successful free-to-play MMO titles such as Goodgame Empire and Empire: Four Kingdoms. This full-time internship is designed as a practical entry point into socila media management and game marekting in a live environment. You will learn how social channels support player engagement across campaigns, events, and updates - and how creative content, community insights, and performance data come together to strengthen brand presence and player loyalty. With a strong mutual fit, there is a clear perspective to continue with us as a Working Student after the internship. YOUR MISSION Support day-to-day collaboration with Product, Design, CRM and external stakeholders Support the planning, creation, and scheduling of social media content across relevant platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Discord) Help develop channel-appropriate copy, creatives, and short-form content aligned with brand voice and campaign goals Coordinate with game teams to translate in-game events, updates and promotions into engaging social storytelling Monitor comments, messages, and community sentiment and help ensure timely, brand-safe communication Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, CTR, follower growth) and help derive learnings to improve content and campaign outcomes supported by research trends and best practices in gaming social media YOUR PROFILE You are an enrolled student at a German university in a relevant field such as marketing, communications, media, business, or similar Strong interest in games, especially free-to-play titles, live events and online communities Confident writing skills and a feel for tone of voice (humorous, clear, community-friendly) Organized, reliable, and proactive - able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Creative mindset with an eye for visuals and short-form formats Very good written and spoken English Basic Canva & HTML5 skills are a plus Comfortable working with basic analytics and reporting (e.g. platform insights, Excel/Google Sheets) WHAT WE OFFER A paid, full-time internship for up to 6 months (compulsory internship as part of your studies can be combined with a voluntary internship), and the option to continue as Working Student afterwards Competitive compensation (internships: 2420 € gross monthly; working students: 14 € gross per hour) and a healthy work-life balance Fully remote within Germany or working from our office in Hamburg-Altona Direct mentorship and close collaboration with experienced Product, CRM and Marketing professionals A learning-focused environment with real responsibility and exposure to live games and campaigns Flat hierarchies, agile ways of working and room to grow professionally In this role, you'll join the Empire Family Team working on Goodgame Empire, Empire Four Kingdoms and future additions to the franchise.
