Application Engineer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Applications team performs test measurements to find the best possible solution for the customer's measurement task in the sales phase and to support the customer either on-site or remotely in the use of the FRT measurement tool.
We are looking for reinforcement for our Applications team with a focus on customer support :
- Providing application support remotely and on-site, analysis of measurement data and development of measurement solutions
- Preparation of test reports and presentation to the customer
- Coordinating customer support with other departments
- Configuration of measurement tools for the customer applications and performance of factory acceptance tests
- Carrying out site acceptance tests at the customer site
- Training for customers and internal employees
- Carrying out measurements to characterize the performance of tools / part components about customer requirements; documentation of test measurements and feasibility studies
- Management of customer samples
- Support the sales department with tool demonstrations and customer consultations
- Support at trade fairs and exhibitions
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- A completed degree in the field of physics, electrical engineering, automation engineering or a similar physical-technical field
- At least 2-4 years of experience in a similar field of activity
- Good knowledge of surface physics, applications and methods of surface metrology.
- Expertise in semiconductor technology, spectroscopy, solid-state physics or optics
- Willingness to travel
- Detail-oriented work, strong problem-solving skills, customer orientation and good team skills
- Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Good interpersonal, presentation and project management skills.
- Strong motivation to win with a can-do attitude.
- Good knowledge of common MS Office applications
