Senior Consultant Climate strategies and sustainability management - AFRY Management Consulting

About the role

Sustainability Consulting is further strengthening its position in the European and global market. As such we are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Sustainability Consulting team in Berlin to work globally in an international team and in the German market.

In this position you will have a unique opportunity to make your contribution to the sustainability transformation within companies and diving deep into topics that are changing the corporate sustainability landscape and business strategy. You will be able to utilize AFRYs position as a driving force of the energy transition and decarbonizing industries.

Your responsibilities

Though located in Berlin you will be part of an international team of Consultants collaborating across borders to achieve best solutions for our clients. Your daily tasks as a Senior Consultant will include :

• Client and project management
• Involvement in refining our decarbonization service offering
• Representation of AFRY at events and membership platform (e.g. fairs econsense Kompetenzprogramm Mittelstand)
• Support in the development and implementation of decarbonization / net zero strategies for clients in accordance with the requirements of SBTi ISO14068 and other methodological approaches
• Emissions accounting based on GHG protocol CCF / PCF taking into account Scope 1 2 & 3 calculations
• Support with climate reporting according to CSRD CDP etc.

Qualifications : Your profile

You have completed your Masters degree with focus on business engineering sustainability environmental management or a comparable course of study.

In at least 3  years of practical experience in the area of sustainability or strategy consulting you gained a profound knowledge in decarbonization / net zero strategy development and implementation.

You gained experienced in CSRD / ESRS GHG protocol SBTi ISO14064 as well as in CCF / PCF creation in your project work enjoy working with existing regulations and are curious and confident to master future challenges in this field.

Based on your analytical skills and an affinity for numbers you manage to master complex problems you are able to break down and communicate solutions to wider audiences on all levels.

Due to our international collaboration we expect you to have fully proficient written and verbal English communication and a conversational level of German language.
