Senior Systems Engineer / IT Solution Architect

Salary 80.000 - 90.000 EUR per year

Requirements :

• Experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer or Solution Architect.
• Ability to create technical documentation, including Visio workflows representing the network design.
• O365 Platform administration (Exchange / SharePoint)
• Advanced Azure Administration, Incudes Intune (MDM), Enterprise Applications.
• Demonstrated experience and / or familiarity with Azure Virtual network configuration including hybrid network architecture, and cloud native web ingress patterns.
• Awareness of best practise IT infrastructure and network developments.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting Experience
• Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills
• Work in a structured, helpdesk orientated approach to ticketing
• Ability to work autonomously, with a sense of urgency
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment
• Advanced knowledge of network vulnerabilities and security issues
• Actively participate in a team environment with the ability to impart knowledge to others.
• Experience with IP Telephony

About the Role

A new opportunity has arisen within our Global IT team. we are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Solution Architect to join an established team.

This is a hybrid role, based from home, but with some time each week on site on our premises in Sprockhvel, providing direct management, support and guidance to the team based on site.

As the Solution Architect, you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of various ICT projects across the organisation, including artificial intelligence and emerging technology.

the department primarily used Microsoft Azure, M365, Dynamics365 and DevOps platforms.

This purpose of this role is to take responsibility and leadership regarding the solution design and implementation of IT Infrastructure globally.

This includes research, planning, developing, documenting, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas of the companys network, hybrid infrastructure, cyber security and telecommunications.

You will work closely with the Service Delivery Manager / IT Technical Lead to empower and train their teams to take over BAU support.

The skills and requirements of this role include, but are not limited to :

• Experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer or Solution Architect.
• Solid expertise in developing high level and detailed design solutions for Azure based applications.
• Demonstrated experience in the development of Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience and / or familiarity with Azure Virtual network configuration including hybrid network architecture, and cloud native web ingress patterns.
• Familiar with cyber security controls (ISM), OWASP.
• Detailed technical knowledge of the Azure cloud platform.

Networking

• Design of Network systems (specifically including LAN / WAN routing and switching and telephony environments).
• Maintain core network and firewall environments and mentor IT staff in best practises.
• Contributing to all phases of project delivery in adherence to project portfolio management governance practices.

Monitoring and Management

• Establish performance monitoring and metrics-driven processes to ensure quality of delivery and uptime of IT infrastructure.
• Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders.
• Learning and keep abreast of new technologies and proposing solutions to introduce to simplify and streamline existing processes.

Backups, DR and Business continuity

• Provide well documented and tested IT Service Continuity, Disaster Recovery Plans, Technical Recovery Plans and Application Recovery Plans.
• Administer training and awareness to the IT team for above mentioned plans.

Cyber Security Monitoring and Management

• Maintain a good working knowledge of emerging technologies in the security space.
• Monitor and respond to escalations from 3rd Party Security Operations Centre.
• Help promote IT security best practices in line with company policies.

System Administration

• Maintain a good working knowledge of enterprise technology and industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain system documentation (design diagrams, wiring diagrams, racks, etc.).
• High level of administrative and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload in a busy IT environment.
• Support ticket escalation from IT Service Desk.
