Job Description
We are Safran Helicopter Engines Germany GmbH, a global manufacturer of gas turbine engines and wholly owned subsidiary of Safran Helicopter Engines S.
A.S., in Bordes, France. In Hamburg, we provide customer service and marketing to many countries in Central, Northern, and Eastern Europe, as well as Central Asia.
The geographical area we serve contains over 300 customers with almost 2,200 engines in total. Our customer portfolio is divided into two large segments : civilian and military.
Our mission : To keep our customers flying!
70 people are contributing on a daily basis to our development and growth at our facility in Hamburg!
Your responsibilities will be to :
Quality and Risk Management :
- Develop and implement our Quality Strategy to ensure the alignment with our objectives
- Maintain and expand the organization's regulatory, customer, and internationally recognized Quality Management System certifications
- Embed quality targets and implement strategies, plans and programs that drive quality improvements, increased customer satisfaction and reduced nonconformance
- Ensure compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) requirements according to our standards
- Lead and improve the company's risk management process
IT Infrastructure Management :
- Coordinate the technical and functional management of the local IT team of two
- Ensure project management principles are applied to all IT projects
- Create and coordinate an efficient organizational structure in the IT area and expand it as an internal service provider
- Ensure the availability and trouble-free, smooth operation of the local IT infrastructure within the framework of our IT regulations
Health, Safety and Environment Management (HSE) :
- Coordinate the development and implementation of the local HSE improvement plan
- Identify relevant occupational safety hazards and risks as well as environmental aspects and impacts and keep track of them
- Propose areas for improvement and local improvement actions
- Prepare action plans to achieve specific objectives and targets and ensure their implementation
Leadership Responsibilities :
- Lead and develop your five direct reports
- Contribute to strategic workforce planning and implement training plans
- Manage the dedicated budget
- Ensure state-of-the-art standards are implemented in your area of responsibility
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage employee-driven innovation

Job Requirements
- University degree (Bachelor / Master) e.g. industrial engineer or technical business economist or equivalent
- Extensive experience in quality management and safety management, ideally in the aerospace
- Strong knowledge of quality management and safety management systems
- Experience in EASA PART 145 and EN9100 activity or equivalent
- Risk and HSE management
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Innovative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
- Good communication and presentation skills
