We are looking for an Expert (f / m / d) in Material Science in the Pre-Development team of the Research & Development department of the Center of Excellence Infusion & Pain Therapy (CoE IPT) at our Melsungen site as soon as possible.
As an Expert in Material Science (f / m / d), you will work partly independently but also in a team on projects to optimize and develop new material formulations for innovative therapy solutions. In your role, you will also be involved in material science issues of the current product portfolio. Together with a young and interdisciplinary team, you will actively shape processes and, based on your input, improve the world through new innovative products in the field of infusion and pain therapy. Pre-Development @CoE IPT means being part of a team of highly motivated specialists in various fields of natural sciences and consistently driving the development of new innovative product and application ideas to maturity for further market implementation. Furthermore, continuous improvements of analytical tools and methods as well as the development of customized material formulations for innovative product developments are part of this team.
Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Participation in projects for the optimization of materials, formulations, processes, and products
- Definition of processes and methods as well as the creation of standards
- Evaluation and, if necessary, execution of material- and product-specific analytics
- Support in addressing and resolving material-specific problems and providing the necessary technical solutions for these problems
- Establishment and maintenance of the equipment park for plastic analytics
- Participation in the development and evaluation of new ideas and innovations within the framework of the division strategy
- Leading or participating in the creation of SOPs with material-specific issues
- Leading (sub-)projects
- Cost-conscious use of required resources and regular cost control in collaboration with controlling
Professional Competencies :
You have successfully completed a bachelor's degree in natural sciences with a focus on material sciences, plastics engineering, chemistry, physics, or comparable courses of studyYou have at least three years of professional experience in the field of plastics development and analyticsYou already have experience in plastics processing as well as with regulatory requirements for materials in medical technology; experience in the field of thermoplastic elastomers is an advantageIdeally, you are familiar with product development processes and project managementYou are proficient in MS Office applications and have very good German and English skills, both written and spoken; knowledge of other languages is an advantagePersonal Competencies :
