YOUR TEAM
The CARIAD connectivity team's mission is to develop a unified connectivity platform to seamlessly connect the car and the customer using various wireless technologies.
We're taking care of the whole development process starting with defining the architecture of the hardware and software, developing functions and integrating the device into various mobile networks all over the world.
Work with us in an agile and interdisciplinary team to develop secure and scalable software solutions that will shape the future of Volkswagen Group.
Our connectivity units provide functionality to various different other domain computers (infotainment, ADAS, ...). To tackle the growing number of use cases a flexible and abstract communication architecture is required utilizing various technologies.
You will be responsible to not just create and design these products but to work hands-on prototyping cars to bring your ideas into production.
You will tackle challenging development tasks in a deeply technically cross-functional team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- As feature owner for the software features positioning for the Global Navigation Satellite System GNSS for different connectivity control units, you need to :
- Align on GNSS implementations with brands, testers and suppliers
- Process the requirement engineering for GNSS
- Monitor the function development at the supplier
- Write test plans and test cases for GNSS
- Analyze and verify GNSS related tickets
- Report the status to component responsibles and project leads
WHO YOU ARE
- Completed studies in electronic engineering, telecommunications, computer science or a comparable field or several years of professional experience as a electronics technician / mechatronics engineer or similar
- At least one year of experience in geographic information systems and Global Navigation Satellite System GNSS
- Understanding of automotive electronical control units (ECUs) is a must have, understanding of network communication and modems is a plus
- At least one year of experience in supplier management and with various stakeholders
- Enjoy solving complex problems and implementing them in high-quality systems, experience with analysis tools like Automotive Ethernet analysis, Wireshark, CANoe and UART tracing are a plus
- Ability to work on-site at test benches and at vehicles, to participate in vehicle tests and to travel to other locations
- Fluent English language skills (oral and written)
