Master Thesis Industrial Energy System Modelling

We are seeking a master thesis student to contribute to the development of an optimization-based energy system model. This research aims to investigate the potential for electrification and energy flexibility measures to support the decarbonization goals of an industrial production site.

• During your master thesis you will develop and validate a sector-coupled energy system model of an industrial site integrating operational data and technical parameters to accurately represent the industrial sites energy needs and flexibility potential.
• You will use relevant present and future energy market data to model its impact on the industrial site.
• Furthermore you will extend the existing mathematical modelling framework to include new features or constraints.
