GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung in Darmstadt operates one of the leading particle accelerators for science. The Experiment Electronics department supports science experiments and projects at GSI / FAIR in all electronics-related tasks. Our strength is detector readout, data acquisition, data analysis, and the monitoring and control of single detectors, and complex large scale detector systems. We support scientists in planning, implementation, and application of novel technologies, including those that go beyond state-of-the-art systems.

The ASIC design group is engaged in the design and subsequent test and characterization of highly complex mixed-signal ASICs. Therefor a powerful CAD environment for design and simulation, a modern machinery under clean room conditions and a well-equipped test laboratory is available. Furthermore, the working group is embedded in the team of the experiment electronics department with about 30 highly skilled and qualified people. We offer exceptional expertise in analog and digital electronics.
