Position : Clinical Supply Planner

Location : Berlin (Onsite with 1 day hybrid)

Reports to : Senior Supply Chain Manager (Indirectly to Head of Supply Chain)

Company : Leading Pharmaceutical Company with a large presence across Europe (Operating in more than 10 countries)

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Supply Planner to join our dynamic team at a leading pharmaceutical company with a significant presence across Europe. This role will work closely with the Senior Supply Chain Manager and indirectly with the Head of Supply Chain to ensure efficient and effective planning of clinical trial materials and supplies. As a key member of the clinical supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing the flow of clinical materials, ensuring availability, optimizing inventory, and ensuring alignment with clinical trial timelines.

This is an onsite role , with 1 day of hybrid work per week, and offers a clear development plan from day one to help you grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Clinical Supply Planning : Develop and manage clinical supply plans to ensure the timely availability of materials and products required for clinical trials across multiple regions.
  • Forecasting & Demand Planning : Collaborate with clinical teams, project managers, and senior supply chain managers to forecast demand and plan for the procurement and delivery of clinical materials.
  • Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure the efficient flow of clinical supplies, optimizing stock levels while avoiding shortages or excess inventory.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations , regulatory affairs , manufacturing , and logistics , to ensure smooth coordination and the timely delivery of materials to clinical trials.
  • Logistics Coordination : Ensure the on-time and compliant distribution of clinical trial materials across multiple regions, managing shipping timelines and working with vendors to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all clinical trial supplies are handled and distributed in compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) , Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) , and local regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate records, track supply chain activities, and generate reports to communicate supply chain status, material availability, and any issues to the Senior Supply Chain Manager and other key stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving : Quickly address any issues or disruptions in the supply chain, such as supply shortages, delays, or quality concerns, to ensure minimal impact on clinical trial timelines.
  • Continuous Improvement : Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the clinical supply chain, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Experience : At least 5 years of experience in clinical supply chain management, ideally in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong Knowledge : Proven experience with clinical supply chain processes, including demand planning , inventory management , and logistics .
  • Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with GMP , GDP , and other relevant regulatory requirements governing clinical supply chains.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast, plan, and monitor supply chain activities, ensuring the alignment of materials with clinical trial needs.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Team Player : Ability to work closely with senior managers and be part of a collaborative, high-performing team.
