Development Engineer for PICs

Keysight Technologies in Germany is looking for a photonics R&D engineer, who ideally also knows about software or electronics development, to support our photonics R&D activities. In this role, you will get the opportunity to work in a highly motivated international team on the next generation of photonic test and measurement instruments.

The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge in optics / photonics and practical experience in fiber-optics and / or Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs). Experience in firmware development or electronics design is considered an advantage.

Candidates are expected to work onsite in Boeblingen at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Definition, test and validation of optical designs and PICs
• Test and data analysis of individual components, assemblies and instruments
• Definition and implementation of calibration routines
• Responsible for writing, debugging and testing test software
• Participating in meetings with colleagues to present and discuss results
