In the Faculty IV : School of Science and Technology, Dep. ETI / Embedded Systems, we are looking for a researcher as of the 01.05.2026 at the following conditions :

The researcher position is part of an interdisciplinary research environment focusing on behavior-based artificial intelligence. The research combines health-related AI systems and automotive AI with a strong focus on human-in-the-loop learning, adaptive models, and experience-based data generation.
Your tasks :
Design and development of AI models that adaptively evolve through new experiencesInvestigation of self-supervised and semi-supervised learning approachesImplementation of human-in-the-loop learning pipelinesDevelopment and evaluation of AI systems for healthcare and / or automotive applicationsCollection, processing, and analysis of real-world data, in particular behavioral and sensor dataPublication of research results in international journals and at scientific conferencesSupport for teaching and supervision of students (teaching obligation : 2 hours per week per semester)Your profile :
Master's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, artificial intelligence, or a comparable field of studyStrong interest in machine learning and AI researchExperience with deep learning models (e.g., transformers, CNNs, RNNs)Good programming skills in Python (experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow is an advantage)Interest in behavioral modeling, adaptive systems, or cognitively inspired AI approachesHigh motivation to work on interdisciplinary research questionsVery good written and spoken English skills (German skills are an advantage but not essential)Ability to work independently and strong teamwork skillsOur range of services :
