Our client is a small-cap healthcare company specialising in medical products. With the support of a successful private equity investor, they are preparing for growth and international expansion. To drive this next phase, they are seeking a Head of Finance to join their team as a key business partner to the CEO. The role is based in the Goettingen area, Germany. What the job involves
- Serving as a strategic business partner to the CEO and the investor
- Developing and executing financial strategies in alignment with the company's growth objectives
- Building a best-in-class finance function, including the implementation of robust controlling and reporting structures
- Providing detailed financial analysis, insights and benchmarks to support strategic decision-making
- Delivering accurate financial reporting to management and shareholders, along with ad-hoc analyses
- Overseeing budget planning, financial controls, forecasting and financial statement reporting
- Identifying, implementing and optimising management information systems and KPI frameworks
- Managing cash flow, liquidity, working capital and capital structure
- Overseeing all tax-related matters
- Management of financial reporting requirements under the leverage financing
- Prospectively, leading financing processes and driving M&A transactions, including ensuring seamless post-merger integrations
- Continuously improving and streamlining finance processes, controls and reporting tools
- Leading organisational optimisation and transformation initiatives
- Serving as the primary point of contact for various stakeholders, incl. investors, banks, auditors and tax advisors
Who we are looking for
University degree in business administration, finance or a related fieldRelevant professional experience as a Head of Finance in a small- to mid-cap company, with a proven track record of delivering significant commercial results and driving changeExperience within a PE-backed company is a plus, as well as a successful track record of M&A transactions and post-merger integrationsCarve-out experience is advantageousBackground in the healthcare and / or manufacturing sector is beneficialStrong finance expertise, with deep controlling and accounting knowledgeHands-on, self-driven mindset, eager to make an impact in a growing environmentAnalytical and data-driven approach, with excellent problem-solving skillsStrategic thinker with a modern, inclusive, and empathetic leadership styleStrong communication and presentation skills, with fluency in German and EnglishYou will be redirected to the company’s website – you must complete the application on their platform to apply.
