Senior (Founding) Product Designer

About the Role

As our Founding Product Designer, you will be our first designer hire. As such, you are expected to lead product design End-to-End at Yendou.

You will work closely with our users to tackle visual and UX problems and drive the flow, look, and feel of our products.

Making Yendou easy and intuitive to use will be vital in achieving Yendou’s mission to accelerate the drug delivery to patients in need.

Yendou is the first Data Intelligence-empowered CRM designed to help R&D teams at life sciences companies scale and accelerate the allocation of cancer clinical trials in clinics, globally.

More than 1 / 3 of this 12-year timeline (4.6 years) and 22% of the clinical trials costs are spent on the process of clinical trial allocation to clinics.

To solve this problem

We are creating the first CRM for Pharma, like Salesforce, but with a list of ready-to-go qualified prospects. No more hunting for doctors or hospitals, now they are all on Yendou and companies can shorten the selection timeline by 12 months.

Yendou has raised $1.3M to date from B2Ventures, Heartfelt , and Industry Angels.

Tasks

• Design and craft intuitive, human-centric flows and experiences for iOS, Android, as well as web platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend design solutions and help guide team decision-making.
• Translate your design ideas into user flows, prototypes and wireframes
• Develop a deep understanding of the unique requirements and constraints for clinical research applications, and apply this knowledge to create exceptional user experiences.
• Partner closely with Engineering to design and build delightful and performant UIfeatures for our web and mobile apps.
• Set the quality benchmark for our design work and start building up and lead our design team over the coming years
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Make tradeoffs. We are a small team with limited resources. Sometimes this means we don't have time to build the perfect solution.

That being said : We expect you to anticipate scaling, and build a design foundation that lets us move quickly

Requirements

• Several years of relevant experience at tech or product-driven companies
• Experience designing interactive applications
• You are a master of your tools and have excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills
• You enjoy collaborating as a team in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with Engineers, our CEO, and customers
• You like to move and iterate fast. We like to get stuff done. We don’t spend weeks planning before we execute our ideas
• You are, or aspire to grow into a leader. As the Founding Product Designer, you will have the opportunity to build your own Designer team!
• You should enjoy your work and have fun while doing it.

What does the hiring process look like?

We will usually respond to applicants before the end of the week, and within 72 hours of each interview.

Applicants can expect the following :

• Intro call ( 15 minutes) with CTO : Both candidate and Yendou get to know each other.
• Portfolio Review (45 minutes) with CTO : Go through your portfolio and have a discussion.
• A work trial (4h) : Work trials are designed to help both sides make the right decision. The work trial is Onsite at our Berlin office
• Debriefing and Deciding
• Onboarding Call with our CEO ( 30 minutes)
