At Hamburg-Finkenwerder we are currently looking for an

Aerospace Engineer (m / w / d)

as a

BFE Manager (f / m / d) in the Cabin Procurement team

Tasks and responsiblities :

  • Lead, drumbeat & secure the End-to-End BFE (Buyer Furnished Equipment) management process until delivery of the last aircraft of the version
  • Secure customer choice of BFE Supplier / Products in line with Aircraft customization timeline
  • Ensure the on-time and on-quality releases of the BFE lists to the Customer in line with aircraft deliveries needs
  • Manage and secure the development and delivery of BFE cabin equipment selected by the Customer
  • Identify and assess any risk potentially impacting the development, the supply or the quality of BFE products
  • set up associated mitigation actions and monitor them, escalating as needed
  • Monitor Supplier Performance
  • Provide weekly reports on the BFE development projects
  • Manage (or contribute to) value-adding projects or strategic initiatives to improve BFE Management

Your profile :

  • University degree in aerospace, aircraft construction, mechanical engineering or comparable technical degree
  • Several years of experience in aerospace engineering and product development
  • More than 3 years of experience in supply chain and supplier management
  • Sound experience in Procurement and Project / Program Management
  • 5-10 years experience within a Customer or Supplier facing environment
  • Knowledge of standards like MS-Office
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in German and English, French and Spanish as a plus.
  • Team player with excellent communication, presentation & influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Service and customer orientation with high sense of responsibility
  • Self-reliant and systematic way of working
