RESPONSIBILITIES
Our unit Group Accounting & Financial Reporting prepares the consolidated financial statements and is responsible for the management and financial reporting of the BASF Group.
We are looking for reinforcements for our team Reporting Guidelines and M&A Accounting.
- You will independently work on accounting topics and other requirements for financial reporting.
- In addition, you will be the contact person for implementation-related questions, the interpretation of relevant guidelines, and the involvement in updates of the BASF Group's accounting and reporting policy.
- You will contribute to the monthly preparation of the BASF Group's consolidated financial statements and subsidiary financial statements, including evaluations and implementation of ESEF requirements.
This also includes conducting financial reporting compliance checks.
- You will support accounting-related complex projects, such as M&A transactions, the integration of acquired companies into the BASF financial reporting process, as well as the optimization and digitization of processes.
- The supervision of selected additional areas, for example as a contact person for a business unit or as a member of the governance team, completes your job profile.
QUALIFICATIONS
- successfully completed degree in economics
- several years of professional experience in finance and accounting
- international accounting knowledge according to IFRS
- proficient in working with SAP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- strong communication skills in both English and German
