Senior Data Engineer | Hamburg | Energy Trading
AI Futures are engaged on a search for a Senior Data Engineer for one of Germany's leading trading companies.
This Hamburg based company are investing heavily into AI & Data and have just reported record financial results and exceptional performance of over €10m revenue per head.
The senior management team are creating a leading data & AI function as they see this as a huge opportunity for them to capitalise on excellent recent performance and integrate game-changing data & AI solutions to the business.
This is the perfect opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and you will have the opportunity to work with internal stakeholders in the trading teams who have a genuine data-driven approach to their work.
This is a very dynamic, customer facing role, so candidates should demonstrate both strong technical ability and excellent communication skills.
The Role
- Create full stack data solutions for trading teams
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate data-driven trading
- Implement new features and services to improve performance in trading
- Grow into a leader, providing guidance and mentoring to more junior team members
- Develop strong relationships with traders and internal stakeholders
The Candidate
- 5+ years experience in Data Engineering
- Strong Data Modelling experience
- Excellent Solutions Architecture experience
- Hands on experience with Databricks
- Cloud computing experience (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Knowledge of dashboarding or data visualisation tools (PowerBI preferred)
- Excellent Python & SQL
- Experience in product based roles would be highly advantageous
- Fluent German beneficial
- You must be in Hamburg minimum 1 day per week
