Your contribution :

In this role, you will be responsible for bringing world class inventory management practices to Clarios Energy Systems including managing and analyzing inventory ordering, replenishment and allocation practices. In addition, you will be responsible for working across functions to improve company profitability.

You will report to the Director of Operations for Energy Systems Global , and the role will be based in Hannover, Germany.

Responsibilities : What you will do

Main Tasks :

Ensure objectives and tasks for multi locations; prepare for potential new / incremental locations.

Collaborate closely with our existing Lead / Acid Clarios organization to identify synergies and enhance efficiency.

Analyse processes and drive implementation of Sales and Operations Planning Processes. Set up Materials System (SAP) in case of product changes, new product launches and phase outs together with engineering department.

Lead the development and maintaining the integrity of computerized production / inventory control systems.

Actively participate in performance-enhancing initiatives.

Meet customer specifications related to logistics, addressing performance and failure rates.

Analyse potential issues with new parts, materials, procedures, and processes.

Optimize and standardize external / internal transportation processes and material flow.

Enhance quality of inventory (QOI) and optimize stock levels, including the inventory management to meet cash flow targets.

Set up and standardize lean logistic concepts.

Supervise and execute inbound component orders, transportation, packaging, and customs clearance.

Supervise and execute outbound transportation and packaging.

Responsible for directing purchasing activity for expense items. Maintains contact with key vendors of material and components to insure uninterrupted supply. Resolves discrepancies concerning items that fail to meet in-coming quality standards.

Directs warehousing activities and insures adherence to governmental safety and health regulations and personnel policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.

Leadership / Supervision :

Lead a Team across two locations.

Production planning according internal and external order situation and plant stock level / Prepares capacity planning analyses. Recommends purchase of additional capacity where necessary.

Monitor and optimize delivery performance according to internal measurement and customer feedback.

Directs and monitors production control activities to assure that balanced inventories are maintained, and that production and purchase releases are scheduled to meet production and inventory investment objectives.

Lead staff selection and recruitment.

Take responsibility for all direct and indirect work procedures in the department.

Participate in staff selection and recruitment.

Ensure compliance with safety and accident prevention regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : What we look for

Education : Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.

Experience : At least 7+ years of experience in a materials management role within a manufacturing setting.

Skills and Knowledge :

Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in SAP and EDV (Electronic Data Processing) systems.

Fluency in English and an advanced level of German.
