Unter der gemeinsamen Leitung von Prof. Dr. Lukas Löhlein, Prof. Dr. Marko Reimer und Prof. Dr. Utz Schäffer ist das Institut für Management und Controlling (IMC) ein führender Think Tank im Bereich Unternehmenssteuerung und Controlling, das sowohl Theorien und Methoden aus den Wirtschaftswissenschaften als auch aus den Sozialwissenschaften (Organisationslehre, Soziologie) aufgreift, anwendet und erweitert.

Ihre Aufgaben

Arbeiten Sie an spannenden Forschungsthemen :

  • Wie wird Digitalisierung und Artificial Intelligence (AI) die Finanzfunktion und das Controlling beeinflussen?
  • Wie wird sichergestellt, dass Unternehmen sich ihrer ökologischen und sozialen Verantwortung stellen?
  • Wie können Unternehmen Performance-Management flexibler und adaptiver gestalten?
  • Wie können CFOs und Controller den Corporate Transformation Prozess beeinflussen?

Die Forschungsfrage Ihrer Dissertation wird zusammen mit den Betreuern festgelegt. Sprechen Sie uns gerne an, falls Sie bereits eine Forschungsfrage im Kopf haben, die Ihnen am Herzen liegt und in unseren Forschungsbereich fällt. Wir freuen uns! Bitte beachten Sie, dass es nicht notwendig ist, sich mit einem (bereits vollständig ausgearbeiteten) Proposal zu bewerben.

Sie benötigen…

  • starkes Interesse an o.g. Forschungsschwerpunkten,
  • hervorragende analytische Fähigkeiten und ein hohes Maß an Neugier,
  • ein hohes Maß an Ausdauer und Energie,
  • einen sehr guten Hochschulabschluss auf Master-Niveau
  • und ausgezeichnete Englischkenntnisse.

    Under the joint directorship of Prof. Lukas Löhlein, Prof. Marko Reimer and Prof. Utz Schäffer, the Institute of Management Accounting and Control (IMC) is a leading think tank in management accounting and control, that features and encourages the use of concepts, theories, and methods from economics as well as social sciences (organization studies, sociology).

    Your mission

    Work on exciting research questions like :

  • How will digitalization and artificial intelligence change finance & controlling?
  • How can you make sure that companies walk their environmental and social talk?
  • How can companies make performance management more flexible and adaptive?
  • How can CFOs and controllers make a difference in the corporate transformation process?

    • The specific topic of your dissertation will be chosen in consultation with your supervisors and we are happy to discuss any thoughts and ideas on above mentioned questions but also your own ideas that you might have. However, please note that you are not required to apply with a well-elaborated research proposal!

  • a strong interest in the above-mentioned research areas,
  • superior analytical skills and a high degree of curiosity,
  • a high level of perseverance and energy,
  • a very good master-level university degree,
  • and excellent English language skills.
