The Sales and Marketing Support is responsible for the quality of metadata for Wiley-VCH and Ernst & Sohn books. Key tasks of this role are enhancing our metadata which helps us selling our products and collaboration with internal and external metadata stakeholders.

The Sales and Marketing Support drives our sales in creating reports from internal and external systems for the sales teams, editorial colleagues and customers.

How you will make an impact:

• Monitor the quality of metadata in internal and external systems (VLB, VA.MAX, online shops like Amazon…)
• Enrich metadata where necessary to make sure our products appear in the best possible way (high resolution covers…)
• Initiate national ONIX and support international ONIX distribution where necessary
• Create requested sales reports out of internal and external systems for internal use and for our customers
• Create reports out of McMetis with market information to support strategic sales decisions

We are looking for people who have:

• Are data literate, able to quickly adapt to new systems and platforms.
• Are proficient with MS Office (esp. Excel; Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German
• Are self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize and make decisions within given parameters
• Can work cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives
• Are persists in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks
