The main role

As a V.I.E, you will have the following tasks :

  • Conducting hands-on experiments formulating solvent-free pressure-sensitive adhesives.
  • Working with engineers on our pilot production tools to evaluate new concepts.
  • Testing adhesive tape performance using a variety of specialized equipment and software.
  • Conducting application-related tests in close coordination with customers.
  • Supporting project management in the supervision of production trials.
  • Testing new raw materials for their suitability in our formulations.
  • Using basic statistics and software tools to interpret data.
  • Documenting and presenting work results to local and global teams.
  • Supporting others in the R&D team and executing commercial and manufacturing support requests.

Profile

  • Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical or process engineering, or materials science.
  • Familiarity with a chemistry lab setting and ability to work safely with chemicals.
  • Attention to detail when preparing samples for testing and conducting sample characterization.
  • Ability to work independently on several topics simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral) to work with people of different backgrounds (e.g., manufacturing, research, engineering, marketing, and operations).
  • A prior experience with polymeric materials or processing would be a plus.
  • An experience with pressure sensitive adhesive formulation, processing, or characterization would be a plus.
  • English is the main working language, but German basics are very welcome!
