Commercial Asset Optimisation (CAO) - CE is responsible for extracting as much value as possible out of RWE’s conventional and renewables power producing asset fleet in Continental Europe as well as managing RWE Supply & Trading GmbH’s (RWEST) industrials portfolio with regard to power and gas. CAO - CE is thereby currently in the centre of societies energy transition reflected in a changing asset portfolio (more assets, geographically wider spread, more decentral, new asset technologies) and rapid regulatory changes.
Our Team “Customer Operations & Scheduling” being a part of CAO - CE, supports all RWEST Trading and Origination desks, Renewable and Conventional power plants, Industrial customers and Municipalities in the physical realization of their business via various interfaces to the energy market.
- Execution of RWESTs participation in the European daily spot auctions at various exchanges
- Participate in various power market auctions of cross-border transport capacities
- Proper and timely preparation and submission of electricity schedules to various grid and transmission system operators within the given regulatory frames
- Managing and commercially optimizing commodity logistics (transport / delivery)
- Carrying out activities in accordance with relevant legal, regulatory and country-specific requirements
- Contribute to the development of new products and services and their marketing to third party customers
- Support the integration of Renewables assets into the existing CAO process / system landscape and the development of new markets
- Working closely together with the Embedded-IT teams and participate in the qualified development and enduring improvement of the IT environment
Your powerful skills
Successfully completed degree in engineering, business administration or economics resp. business training with relevant further qualificationsBasic knowledge in power trading and / or cross-border trading as well as in balancing group management and commodity scheduling businessExpertise in the European energy market design and the regulatory market communication rulesStrong communication and team working skills with a high degree of personal commitment and motivationProven experience and willingness to work on own initiative in combination with a fundamental hands-on mentality capability to work independently, even pressed for timeAbility to maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers, market participants, grid operators, service providers etc.Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and GermanExperience in using standard Microsoft Office applications, particularly ExcelAcceptance of weekend / statutory holidays work and of flexible working time is requiredAdvantageous, but not a must
