The Construction Health & Safety Manager is responsible to establish and maintain a world class safety performance on the construction site. They work closely with the project team and the EPCM contractors to ensure we meet our ambitious Health & Safety targets.
About the team
You will be part of the Northvolt project team of about 80 employees that will have the overall responsibility of this mega project based in Heide, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Drive a worldclass safety on the construction site ensuring everyone comes home safely.
- Ensure effective contractor management towards Health and Safety.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and statutory requirements.
- Report on status and key performance indicators to different management levels.
In addition to these requirements, we expect a strong commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You should be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from front-line employees to senior management. p>

We believe that you have :
A university (or advanced) degree in a relevant field and relevant qualificationMinimum of 10+ years of experience in HSE management in the construction industryProven track record in large-scale projectsStrong knowledge of best-in-class approach to health and safety.Strong knowledge of German and international HSE regulations and requirements applicable to the construction industryExperience with incident investigation and root cause analysisGerman, English; any other European language is a plusStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with the construction team to ensure project success
