Job Title : Senior Automation Engineer (MES)
Location : Düsseldorf, Germany
Type : Contract / Freelance (12 months+)
Responsibilities :
- Leading responsibility for the further development of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other manufacturing-related systems as IT / OT Manager Manufacturing.
- Leading and coordinating all IT and OT activities within the production department at the site to ensure optimal functionality of IT infrastructure and production systems.
- Implementing, operating, and optimizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in the production environment.
- Monitoring and controlling MES systems to ensure smooth operations, quality control, and productivity optimization.
- Close collaboration with internal departments and external service providers for successful implementation of MES projects.
- Analyzing and evaluating data to develop strategies for improving efficiency, cost reduction, and compliance with quality standards.
Requirements :
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, such as completed technician training in relevant fields like Automation / Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
- Experienced in the application and management of MES systems, adept at digital representation of manufacturing processes
- GMP experience is advantageous.
- Initial familiarity with SAP EWM and PP, combined with a passion for innovation and technological advancements in manufacturing, is desirable.
- Utilise a structured, solution-oriented approach and analytical mindset to deeply understand processes and workflows for improvement.
- Renowned for excellent communication skills in both German and English
