Job Title : Senior Linux System Administrator

Location : Düsseldorf – Remote

Salary : €75,000-€85,000

Key Responsibilities :

Operations & Administration : Manage, monitor, and maintain Linux servers to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Automation : Develop and implement automated scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) to streamline system management tasks, deployments, and routine maintenance.

Web Server Management : Configure, manage, and optimize Apache / Nginx web servers for high availability, performance, and security.

Virtualization & Containerization : Administer and maintain virtualized environments (VMware, KVM) and containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) to support scalable infrastructure.

Cloud Administration : Oversee cloud-based services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure cost-effective, secure, and efficient use of cloud resources.

Database Management : Administer and optimize databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.

Key Requirements :

• Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator (5+ years preferred).
• Expertise in Linux / Unix system administration, including CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions.
• Strong experience with automation tools and scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Familiarity with web server technologies (Apache, Nginx) and load balancing.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
