Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer
Overview We are currently hiring a site based Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer for a large scale Pharmaceutical Construction project in the Frankfurt region.

Responsibilities The roles include but are not limited to the following; Contractor procurement - developing contract tender packages from contract information, analysis of received tenders, presenting options to senior management, clarification and negotiating with contractors, pre-award meetings, developing contract documents Contract package management - managing multiple contract packages from award through to final account to include change management, monthly payments, correspondence, claims management Monthly Reporting - maintaining and submitting accurate monthly cost reporting information including end of project projections in collaboration with the project team Stakeholder management - attending periodic meetings with stakeholders as required including clients, contractors, designers, internal collaborators.
Administration and where necessary negotiating and closing out final accounts with contractors and clients in a timely and professional manner.
Claims management - Dealing with claims in a timely manner in accordance with contract requirements Payment Applications - development and submission of payment applications as required, engaging with client representatives and agreeing monthly values, maintain certification and trackers to support the payment process Responsible for ensuring the change management process is administered efficiently including the issue of quotation requests and subsequently the analysis and issue of change instructions Manage to the respective contract budget as directed by the Project Director Manage relevant communications and formal correspondence Assess contractor progress reports in conjunction with the project team Compile monthly reports Attend monthly commercial and contractor meetings Manage the time provisions of the respective contract, particularly in regard to change, schedule and claims / notification Qualifications Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a strong background in Contracts Administration At least 8 years’ experience Good interpersonal skills Pharma or Data Centre experience would be advantageous but not essential Large team experience as well as experience of mentoring within the commercial and project team Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills
