(Senior) Java Software Engineer
Venquis currently has a permanent opportunity for an experienced (Senior) Java Developer to join a partnered consultancy and support their innovative, exciting, and transformation projects.

Application Development :
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
System Integration :
- Integrate third-party services and APIs into existing applications.
- Ensure seamless connectivity and data exchange between systems.
Code Review and Testing :
- Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
- Write and execute unit tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
- Debug and resolve technical issues as they arise.
Documentation and Collaboration :
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for code, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Continuous Improvement :
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Identify areas for improvement and contribute to enhancing existing processes and systems.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Java Developer, with a minimum of 5 years in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience in frameworks like Spring or Hibernate.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional : Java SE) are a plus.
- Proficient in both English and German
