Key Responsibilities

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end supply chain function, ensuring the timely availability of materials while optimizing costs and driving supplier performance. Your key responsibilities will include :

Sourcing & Procurement Strategy

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure a competitive, reliable, and sustainable supply base.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings and mitigate supply risks.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with company standards and fostering long-term partnerships.

Supplier Management

  • Manage key supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, timely deliveries, and competitive pricing.
  • Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company standards in quality, cost, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, innovation, and lead time optimization.
  • Ensure suppliers meet regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Cost Management & Risk Mitigation

  • Monitor market trends and raw material price fluctuations to anticipate risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks in the supply chain, including supplier diversification and alternative sourcing.
  • Analyse procurement spend to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, quality, R&D, and finance teams to ensure sourcing decisions align with operational requirements.
  • Support new product development by sourcing innovative materials and components.
  • Lead supplier-related issue resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Collaborate with global supply chain teams to leverage best practices and optimize group-wide procurement strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement & Sustainability

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing function to enhance processes, reduce lead times, and improve supplier performance.
  • Support the company’s sustainability goals by sourcing from environmentally responsible suppliers and promoting sustainable procurement practices.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes , including supplier negotiation, contract management, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience working with raw materials, components, and indirect procurement specific to manufacturing industries.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools .
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of cost savings and supplier performance improvement.
  • Knowledge of global sourcing strategies and supply chain risk management .
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German and English .
