Austability GmbH, a leading European Defence contracting organisation, is seeking an experienced Site Coordinator to provide comprehensive oversight for operations across US military training installations in Bavaria, Germany. This appointment represents an opportunity to assume a critical support role within a high-value Defence contract supporting a Military Training Command. The successful candidate will join a proven organisation with an established track record of delivering quality-assured logistics support services to military clients.
The Role
Reporting to the Deputy Project Manager (DPM), the Site Coordinator holds full responsibility for day-to-day operational execution, personnel supervision, service quality, and local client liaison at an assigned training area :
- Grafenwohr (GTA),
- Hohenfels (HTA),
- and Ansbach (ATA).
Key Accountabilities :
Operational Execution
Execute all contracted services at site, including :
Field dining operationsCustodial servicesTransportation and shuttle servicesEquipment distribution and setupFuel operations (including JP-8)Forklift and material handling servicesPersonnel Management
Supervise all operational personnel assigned to the site across all service linesAssign daily work priorities and ensure adequate staffing coverageMonitor performance, attendance, conduct, and disciplineProvide monthly performance input, recognition recommendations, and performance improvement actions where requiredClient Liaison
Act as the primary on-site operational point of contact for training area staff and unit representativesMaintain daily client engagement to confirm service satisfaction and upcoming requirementsSafety & Compliance
Enforce PPE usage and installation safety requirementsConduct daily safety briefings during high-risk activitiesRespond to safety incidents and coordinate with the HSE Representative as requiredMaintain site compliance with access credential and installation pass requirementsEquipment & Asset Readiness
Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and operational equipmentIdentify maintenance requirements and coordinate repairsEnsure continuity of operations through availability of backup equipmentReporting & Coordination
Coordinate weekly personnel schedules and conduct weekly site team meetingsManage incident response, escalation, and reporting within required timeframesCandidate Profile
Professional Experience
Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in logistics, facilities management, or operational servicesProven experience managing multi-functional teams in dynamic or high-pressure environmentsExperience operating within Defence, government, or regulated contract environments (highly desirable)Qualifications & Requirements
Fluent English (essential)German language skills - highly desirableValid driver's licenceAbility to obtain installation access credentials (AE Reg 190-16 compliant)Leadership Competencies
